To support our STEM program, we recently upgraded our computer lab with twenty new computers for our students and the community. Many of our children do not have computers at home. For some of these students, our Center acts as their main or only access to computers.
Now, with our new computers and software, the children are able to learn up-to-date technology skills that they will need to succeed. In our technology-based world, children are learning most subjects in one way or another with the computer.
In addition to being proficient, we want children to develop positive attitudes towards technology. Especially with online learning more prevalent as a result of the pandemic, children need to be familiar with technology and able to learn in that environment.
During the school year, our teachers and staff assist our students as they progress through the different online STEM programs. The programs are designed so that our certified teachers can monitor the children’s achievements to make sure they comprehend the material and advance.
